Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, is the largest city in Central China. Its subtropical climate is characterized by humid weather and a monsoon season. Being the technology, culture and education center China, the comprehensive research and education strength of Wuhan is ranked third in the country, just following Beijing and Shanghai. There are 30 universities, 736 scientific research institutes and 10 state level labs.
Wuhan is also home to Chu Culture, which has a history of over 2,500 years. The Yellow Crane Tower is one of three famous historical towers south of the Yangtze River. East Lake is a state-recognized scenic spot loved for its natural beauty. And the Guiyuan Buddhist Temple is known as “the ancient temple at the Buddhist center.” It is also the most convenient base from which to explore the Three Gorges and other famous prime sights in Central China.

Wuhan tour to Yellow Crane Tower
Yellow Crane Tower is one of the Three Great Towers of China which built 1,800 years ago, the other two are Yueyang Tower in Hunan province, and Prince Teng Pavilion in Nanchang province. During Warring States period, a military observation post of Wu Kingdom was set here to overlook the Yangtze River. The place became nationally famous as later dynasties built and rebuilt a tower there. A delightful legend has it that a fairy riding a yellow crane was once attracted to the site, hence the name.
From the top of the present Yellow Crane tower, tourist can get a good view of the city. It is about 50 meters high and has 5 stories. This new tower that was built in the 1980s after the old Yellow Crane Tower was destroyed to make way for the Yangtze River Bridge in 1950s. The original site was on a hill next to the river which is about a kilometer away from the river. The original building was a pagoda made of wood, and the new one is pagoda-style building made of concrete. It is a part of a small park area on the hill called Snake Hill Park.
Wuhan tour to East Lake
East Lake is the largest lake within a city in China which covers an area of 35 square kilometers. The size is six times bigger than the West Lake in Hangzhou. The whole park consists of six scenic areas: Tingtao, Moshan, Luoyan, Baima, Luohong, and Chuidi. Tourists can take boats at any dock on the lakeside and get to the Moshan Zoo located at the other bank of the East Lake. Visitors can enjoy many varieties of fish, water birds and plants in East Lake. The famous Wuchang fish is a unique product of East Lake. The East Lake parks have a lot of species of trees such as orchids, lotus, plum blossom and cherry bay. 78 cherry blossom trees donated by the former Japan Premier Minister Tanaka Kakueiare are growing prosperously in this area as well.

In the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC), A musician named Yu boya plays the lute at ancient Lute Terrace, met Zhong Ziqi who could understand and appreciate his performance. They became bosom friends and arranged to meet again at the same time in next year. Yu Boya returned only to find that his friend had died. At Zhong Ziqi's grave, Yu Boya played a farewell song, and vowing never again to use the instrument, broke its strings. The platform is located at the western foot of the Tortoise Hill in Huanyang district of Wuhan. To the north of the platform lies the Moon Lake and to the west of it the Plum Hill is visible in a distance. The Lute Platform is now is for Chinese-opera lovers who gather in morning to sip tea and listen to the performers. In the gardens, martial arts and exercise classes are held.

Constructed in the period 1955 to 1957, the 1,607.4-meter-long bridge began revamping
Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is the first bridge that was built over the Yangtze River. It was built with Soviet aid in the period 1955 to 1957. This 1607 meters long bridge has two floors. The top vehicles travel, and the below floor for trains. Tourist also can walk or jog across the bridge. The road on the Hanyang side leads to another bridge nearby that crosses the Han River to Hankou. These two bridges are the city's main link between the three districts.
By August 12, 2002, the first large-scale renovation proceeded since it became operational 46 years ago. The rehabilitation project has made the bridge more reliable and able to accommodate an expanding traffic flow.
Wuhan tour to Hubei Provincial Museum
Hubei Provincial Museum, located in the Wuchang District of Wuhan. It can be divided into three parts: the Chime Bells Exhibition Hall, the Chu (a state in the Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-476BC)) Culture Exhibition Hall, and the Comprehensive Exhibition Building. The Comprehensive Exhibition is still under construction at the present time.
The Chime Bells Exhibition Hall includes a 2000 year old coffin. A huge exquisitely painted casket and 22 smaller coffins are found. Twenty-one women (their age ranged from 13 to 23) and a pet dog were buried with this ancient nobleman as living sacrifices.
Buried together with lots of musical instruments including bells, chimes, drums, 25-stringed horizontal harp, Chinese vertical bamboo flute etc.. The most famous treasure is the Chime Bells, which is the largest bronze musical instrument ever discovered. With a set of bells of different sizes, it can play various tones of the musical scale. In the Music Hall, musicians wearing ancient clothes play a replica of the Chime Bells from 11:00 to 16:00 every day. You will surely be enchanted by the ancient beautiful music, which has been played overseas on many occasions.
The Chu Culture Exhibition Hall features the regional culture of the Chu State. Most of the cultural relics displayed here are bronze vessels, lacquer works, bamboo and wooden artifacts, and silk knitted products. You can also see various ancient weapons of the Chu State such as the sword of king Gou Jian, and the shaft of King Fu Chai.
Wuhan tour to Guiyuan Temple
Guiyuan Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Hanyang district of Wuhan, dating from late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The history lasted around 400 years. "Guiyuan" means achieving sainthood and becoming a Buddha. Inside the temple is a huge hall containing 500 Arhats (also known disciple or Luohan) in different postures, each with a highly individualized facial expression. No two are same. Some look experienced and astute, others jolly, angry, or complaisant; in other words, the expressions show the full range of human feelings. There is also a large 105-ton Buddha sculpted of white stone--a gift from Burma in 1935. This architectural complex includes Drum and Bell towers, temple halls, the Arhat Hall and the Lotus Pond.
